ANOTHER DEAD DUCK
As the days move forward, the "Quinnbot" continues to become an endangered species. Even the biggest Quinn honk will be forced into the fetal position in their nearest gutter, weeping, chugging a bottle of Kumchatka vodka after Quinn gets TORN UP by the Ravens defense this Sunday.
There was a small ray of hope yesterday when ESPN was reporting that Penguini was considering a QB change for Sunday. Unfortunately those dreams were quickly crushed when he came out saying he was sticking with Quinn. A foolish move, and another wasted Sunday is on the horizon.
I was listening to 'The Really Big Show" On WKNR this morning when Rizzo stated "You know I was wondering on Sunday what DA could have done out there, if he could have moved the ball". The tone in his voice was basically insinuating that he thought DA could've gotten the job done. He then essentially retracted the statement by saying "but we need to keep Quinn out there, we need to give him the season, at least half the season."
My question is: WHY MUST WE GIVE HIM THE SEASON?
To become the laughing stock of the league when we go 0-16 (2-14 is a BEST CASE scenario)
Because Phil Dawson is on Penguini's fantasy team and he really wants to stick it to his country club buddies by only settling for field goals (AT BEST) on every drive?
It IS NOT too late to turn this thing around. If DA is put back in there for the Cincinatti game I am predicting a 9-7 finish, because we will obviously be in an 0-3 hole. With a little luck we could squeak out the wild card.
The absolute worst thing that could happen this Sunday (which is of course a best case scenario for Quinn) is that he goes 18-40 for 1 TD and 3 INTS. We catch a few flukes, including a Punt Return for TD by Cribbs and 2 FGs, and only lose by 13 with a final score BALTIMORE 27 CLEVELAND 14.
Losing by 13 has become the norm for QUINNBOTS. The argument that we were "IN" the game against Denver going into the 4th quarter is absurd and was because of 2 botched field goals. Even though the scoreboard stated we were down 7, any Browns fan who wasn't drinking the Quinn kool-aid knew there was no chance we would be coming back.
Unfortunately the only way to get Quinn pulled is a 45-6 Blowout this Sunday. Sadly this is almost a certainty.
